This strawberry bruschetta has just three ingredients, and is served with baked cinnamon sugar wonton chips. A super fun and easy snack!
This week-end, my parents were in town. That means two things: House of Cards marathon {they don't have Netflix}, and I have two extra taste-testers!
While Ben does his best at tasting all my sugary baked goods, he just does not have a sweet tooth. He is a great taste-tester for all my savory cooking, especially anything spicy, but sweet stuff...meh. {Given my own love of anything sweet, I can hardly believe that a person like him even exists!!}
So...my parents got to taste several of my recent experiments, as well as this Strawberry Basil "Bruschetta" served with a side of crunchy, sweet Cinnamon-Sugar Wonton Chips!
Reasons you'll ♡ this strawberry bruschetta and baked wonton chips
- they are simple to make and would be a great kid-friendly project
- the wonton chips are great on their own but even better with the bruschetta
- it would be perfect to serve at a baby shower or summery party
Wonton chips? Yep. You read that right.
I can't believe I have lived on this planet this long and have never had the joy of a wonton chip! They not 'noodley' at all, so incredibly simple to make, and when brushed with butter and sprinkled with cinnamon sugar, they are crispy, sweet, and the perfect vessel for this strawberry bruschetta!

The strawberry bruschetta is so simple: strawberries, sprinkled with a tiny bit of sugar, and mixed with fresh, torn basil leaves. The strawberry-basil combination is divine...so fresh, and the sweetness of the strawberries is offset by the basil.
One of my favorite things about this snack is that it is so incredibly fast to whip up! 15 minutes prep, 6-7 minutes to bake the chips. Easy peasy, my kind of food 😉
This snack got quadruple taste-tester approval status: me {obviously}, Mom, Dad, and to my surprise, Ben as well! We couldn't stop loading these wonton chips up with the fresh strawberry-basil bruschetta.
And, long after the bruschetta had disappeared, the wonton chips were great on their own! It was pretty much impossible to walk by the plate of chips without grabbing a couple. There was a lot of crunching happening in our house the day I served this snack up...A LOT!
I mean...cinnamon sugar, people. Can you blame us?
