If your morning routine lacks something fun, fruity, and refreshingly different, this Passionfruit Smoothie is your new go-to. It’s the perfect blend of tropical passionfruit, sweet mango, and juicy strawberries with a creamy boost from Greek yogurt and milk. Whether you need a quick breakfast, an afternoon pick-me-up, or a post-workout refresh, this smoothie is bursting with bright flavor and packed with feel-good ingredients.

3 Reasons You’ll Love This Smoothie

  • Big tropical flavor: Passionfruit brings bold, tangy sweetness that pairs perfectly with mellow mango and strawberry.
  • Creamy and satisfying: Greek yogurt and milk make it thick, smooth, and protein-rich—perfect for staying full.
  • Quick and easy: Just 6 ingredients and 5 minutes to blend up a refreshing, energizing treat.

Passionfruit is a tropical fruit with a tough purple or yellow rind and a soft, jelly-like center filled with a tangy pulp that contains edible black seeds. It has a bold, sweet-tart flavor that’s often described as a mix of citrus fruits. You can often find it already frozen at your supermarket.

Ingredient Breakdown

Here’s what makes this smoothie taste like vacation:

  • Passionfruit: This is the star of the show! Tangy, slightly sweet, and full of tropical flair.
  • Mango – Adds natural sweetness and creamy texture.
  • Frozen strawberries – Brings bright berry flavor and a bit of tartness.
  • Greek yogurt – For creaminess, a protein boost, and that perfect smoothie body.
  • Milk – Thins everything out to the right consistency—use dairy or any milk alternative.
  • Optional sweetener – If your fruit isn’t super ripe, you can add a little honey or maple syrup to taste.

How to Make a Passionfruit Smoothie

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
  2. Taste and adjust—add more milk for a thinner smoothie, or a splash of sweetener if desired.
  3. Pour, sip, and enjoy!

Tips for the Best Smoothie

  • Use frozen fruit – It keeps your smoothie cold and thick without needing ice.
  • Don’t skip the yogurt – It adds body and balances the tartness of the passionfruit.
  • Start with less milk – You can always add more to reach your ideal consistency.
  • Use ripe passionfruit – If using fresh, look for wrinkled skin—that’s when it’s at its sweetest.

Variations to Try

  • Make it vegan: Use a dairy-free yogurt and plant-based milk like almond or coconut.
  • Add greens: Throw in a handful of spinach for extra nutrients—you won’t even taste it.
  • Boost it: Add chia seeds, flaxseed, or a scoop of vanilla protein powder.
  • Go tropical: Swap strawberries for pineapple or banana for even more island vibes.
