A healthy and creamy avocado and white bean dip with ginger, lime and a hint of wasabi flavor. An easy and healthy snack recipe!

Avocado White Bean Dip with Wasabi and Ginger

I feel like I'm the only person on this planet who doesn't watch football.

If I did watch football, then I would have known that last week was the time to post snack food!

Well luckily, even though I don't watch football and totally dropped the ball on Superbowl food, I happen to like chips and dip any day of the year.

So here I am, one week late, with some awesome Superbowl everyday snack food in the form of this avocado white bean dip!

Check out my recipe for the BEST Easy Homemade Hummus!

Avocado White Bean Dip with Wasabi and Ginger

Avocado White Bean Dip with Wasabi and Ginger

First this was going to be wasabi hummus. But then I ended up using white beans, ditching the tahini, adding lime and ginger. So I figured at that point, I'd strayed pretty far from 'hummus'.

So instead, let's call this white bean dip.

And this dip wasn't quite right until I added a last-minute ingredient: avocado! The avocado-lime-wasabi-ginger all go together perfectly. Plus avocado also happens to make the creamiest dip ever.

Avocado White Bean Dip with Wasabi and Ginger

Has anyone ever snuck some wasabi in your food? I will never forget the time we went to an all-you-can-eat buffet and a 'friend' snuck wasabi onto my pasta. The pain that shot up my nose and down my throat was unbearable, and I have no desire to have it happen again. Ever.

So no, this isn't a spicy dip. HOWEVER, if you enjoy torture the spice of wasabi, absolutely add more to the avocado white bean dip!

And don't forget to make the sesame pita chips! They are so simple and so addictive! And you can't have dip without chips, can you?

Alright. Avocado White Bean Dip. Sesame Pita Chips. We are good. Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Hi Denise, I Absolutely LOVE this dip recipe, My Friend! I made it for our local library's Recipe Swap (yesterday) when our theme was green foods. I served it with green crudite (green onions, green pepper strips, celery & cucumber slices & of course, your Yummy pita chips. The only change I made was I cut back a little on the EVOO for the dip & I used my homemade Everything But the Bagel Seasoning on the pita chips instead just sesame seeds. It all turned out delish!! Thank you SO Much for sharing your Wonderful recipes with us!! (I found out about your site through A Cedar Spoon's 29 Game Day Dips posting.) Happy Cooking!!!

I don't need football as a reason to snack it up, girlfriend! LOVE this creamy dreamy dip! Avocado and wasabi are a fabulous combination, but I would have never thought to turn them into a dip! Genius! And those sesame pita chips are the perfect accompaniment! Snack-tastic, Denise! Cheers!

I'm a fellow non-football watcher! I've been a bit embarrassed to admit that these past few weeks, when talk of the game seemed to be everywhere!

But I'm all about chips and dips, and this white bean dip looks sooo good! I love that you added avocado- I've got to try that! Those sesame pita chips look like the perfect dippers!

I tried it without the avocado and something was definitely missing. Thanks so much, Kristine 🙂

It's good you didn't post this snack food like everyone else last week -- now it stands out! Not like it wouldn't anyway...this dip looks incredible! I love wasabi and it was such a great idea adding it here. I could snack on chips and dip every day too!

I've finally gotten (kind of) into watching football because if I didn't then I would hardly see my husband for a few months out of the year! But, I also need snacks everyday of the year, not just on the Superbowl! I love wasabi and avocado together and this dip sounds truly amazing! I see it in my future this weekend 🙂
