Easy Homemade Red Wine Vinaigrette Recipe

Easy homemade red wine vinaigrette is my go-to for pasta salads and grain-based salads, but is also great on greek salad or cabbage slaw. Whip it up with four basic pantry staples in under 5 minutes for a clean eating and vegan dressing recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar *see note
  • 1/2 teaspoon dijon
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey
  • salt & pepper

Notes

* I recommend this recipe for pasta or grain salads, but it is a bit too tangy for green salads
* for green salads I recommend a 1:2 (3 tablespoons red wine vinegar + 6 tablespoons of olive oil) or a 1:3 (2 tablespoons red wine vinegar + 6 tablespoons olive oil) ratio of oil to vinegarĀ
