Salted Caramel Twix Brownies

These salted caramel Twix brownies are the perfect salty/sweet treat. Twix bars are mixed into chewy chocolate brownies and drizzled with salted caramel.

  • ½ cup butter (113 g)
  • 6 oz semi-sweet chocolate (coarsely chopped)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar (100 g)
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar (110 g)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • cup all purpose flour (83 g)
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 ½ cups Twix bars (chopped into 1-inch pieces {3 packages of regular-sized or 12 snack-sized})
  • 2 tbsp caramel sauce
  • a sprinkle of sea salt {¼ teaspoon or less- to taste}


  • Pre-heat oven to 350°F. Line a 9X9 inch pan with aluminum foil, grease, and set aside.
  • In a small saucepan, melt butter and chocolate, stirring frequently. This will take 5 or so minutes.
  • Pour into a large bowl, and mix in the sugars until no lumps remain.
  • Add eggs and mix, one at a time. Stir in the vanilla.
  • In a separate small bowl, combine the flour and baking powder. Stir into the butter mixture until completely combined.
  • Fold in the chopped Twix bars. Scrape batter into pan.
  • Dot the caramel sauce evenly, swirl with a knife. Sprinkle brownies with sea salt.
  • Bake for 30-40 minutes, until a toothpick comes out cleanly.
  • Cool completely and cut into 9 pieces.
