Strawberry Balsamic Bites with Feta and Basil
These strawberry balsamic bites contain fresh strawberries served with basil, crumbled feta and a balsamic reduction in crispy wonton cups. This lighter party appetizer comes together in under 30 minutes and can be made ahead of time!
- 24 wonton wrappers
- spray oil or melted butter
- 1 ½ cups strawberries diced
- ¼ cup feta cheese crumbled
- ¼ cup fresh basil cut into strips
- balsamic reduction to drizzle
Pre-heat oven to 375°F. Spray a mini-muffin pan with oil.
Using a drinking glass or round object, cut wontons into 1.5-2 inch circles. Press gently into the mini muffin pan. Spray to coat with more oil.
Bake for 6-8 minutes, until golden and crispy (mine were perfect at 7 minutes).
Remove from pan and allow to cool on a wire rack. Repeat with remaining wonton wrappers until you have 24 wonton cups.
In a small bowl, stir together the strawberries and basil. Spoon into the prepared cups.
Sprinkle with feta cheese and drizzle with the balsamic reduction.

Wonton cups may be baked ahead of time and stored in a sealed container.
Do not add the strawberries/feta/balsamic reduction until just prior to serving.
I used store-bought balsamic reduction, however I've also used this recipe in the past
