Air Fryer Mushrooms

Flavored with sesame oil and soy sauce, these air fryer mushrooms deliver big flavors with very little effort! An easy low carb side dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb mushrooms button or cremini recommended, cut into quarters
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce see note 1
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

To garnish

  • sesame seeds
  • green onions

Instructions

  • Prepare mushrooms- Wash and pat dry the mushrooms. Trim off the end of the stem, then cut into quarters. Toss in sesame oil and soy sauce. Allow to marinate for 30 minutes if you have the time.

  • Cook- Heat your air fryer to 400°F/200°F. Add mushrooms to the basket, then cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket several times. Cook until deeply browned and roasted through (as in image below).

  • Garnish + enjoy- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and garnish with green onion (optional). Enjoy!

Notes

1- this recipe was tested with reduced sodium soy sauce
Storage
Cool completely, then store in an air tight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
Reheating
To reheat, set your air fryer to 350°F. Heat for 5 or so minutes, tossing mushrooms up as needed, until they are warmed through.
